when electricity flows through the iron box its heating coil gets heated. but the metal conductor used to bring electricity to it didn't heat up. give reason

Iron box and the supply wire are connected in series, therefore same current flow through them, Since the resistance of connecting wires is negligible small as compared to the resistance of iron box and heat produced due to given element is directly proportional to its resistance, therefore the heat produced in the filament is very large.
