What were the major victories of Itutmish
- Iltutmish was initailly a governor in the Qutb-ud-din Aibak’s court. After the death of Aibak, there were clashes for the throne.
- Iltutmish was supported by the officials of Delhi and hence he defeated Aram Shah of Lahore and succeeded the throne of Aibak.
- His important invasion was against Yildoz in Lahore who was later defeated in Tarain.
- The major victories of Iltitmish were the conquest of Bengal, Multan and Ranthambore.
- He also defeated Ghiyasuddin and captured Bihar.
- Another important achievement was accomplishment of construction of Qutb Minar that symbolized victory and the domination of Muslim rule in India.
