there are 400 types of taxes. one type of it is vetti, it is not taken in the form of cash but in the form of forced labour. it is given in the pg no. 18 in n.c.e.r.t

Vetti was one of the 400 kinds of taxes of the chola empire of the karnataka it was taken not in cash but in the form of forced labour means that people were forced to work for the king which is illegal in todays time...
