SNAILS: A snail breaks up its food using the radula. The radula is a chitinous structure, containing microscopic hooks, called cuticulae. With this the snail scrapes at food, which is then transferred to the digestive tract. This is why snails are often heard 'crunching' their food: the radula is tearing away at what they are eating. ANTS:all i can find on ants is that they carry their food in their jaws called mandibles, and that some produce food by fermenting leaves in their nests, check it out on wikipedia. EAGLES:Like all birds of prey, eagles have very large powerful hooked beaks for tearing flesh from their prey, strong legs, and powerful talons. they tear the flesh, and eat it usin their beaks. HUMMINGBIRDS:They feed on the nectar of plants, especially of deep-throated flowers. Most species of hummingbird also take insects, especially when feeding young. LICE:They are obligate ectoparasites of every mammalian and avian order, meaning they 'suck' their food from other animals and birds BUTTERFLIES: Butterflies feed primarily on nectar from flowers. Some also derive nourishment from pollen, tree sap, rotting fruit, dung, and dissolved minerals in wet sand or dirt. butterflies consume only liquids and these are sucked by means of their proboscis. HOUSE FLIES: Houseflies can take in only liquid foods. They spit out saliva on solid foods to pre-digest it, and then suck it back in. They also vomit partially digested matter and eat it again.
Mosquitoes have mouth parts that are adapted for piercing the skin of plants andanimals. While males typically feed on nectar and plant juices, the female needs to obtain nutrients from blood before she produce eggs.
