What is the meaning of the last three lines of this is jody's fawn?(The last of milk vansihed in a swirl of foaming and gurgling)

The last lines explains Jody's experience of feeding mil to the fawn. The way he felt its tongue on his hand was comforting. Also the fawn drank the milk dreamily. The tail was moving back and forth and the milk was finished with a gurgling sound.
