what is the difference between warehouse and godown

Dear student,

Warehouse refers to a commercial place for storing goods. Warehouse are used by manufacturer, wholesaler, importer, exporter etc. 
Godown is an Asian term for warehouse. It is also a place for storing goods. Godown is generally used by retailers to keep its own good.
