what is the difference between political identity and national identity?

Dear student,

National identity implies a sense of belongingness or adherence to one's nation or country. e.g. we are the citizens of India and our national identity is Indian.

Political identity is the following or leading the ideas and thoughts of any political party. e.g. one who supports Communist Party are called as leftist.
