What is the difference between Cerebrum and Cerebellum...??? (in points plz)

Dear Student,

cerebrum
cerebellum
largest part of the brain and constitutes four-fifth of its weight
which is a part of the hindbrain
The forebrain has sensory regions, which receive sensory impulses from various receptors
responsible for maintaining the posture and equilibrium of the body
A certain part of the cerebrum primarily controls intelligence, learning, memory, thinking, and the ability to articulate speech
It also coordinates the contraction of voluntary muscles, according to the directions of the cerebrum.
It also has motor regions, which control the movement of various muscles such as leg muscles
cerebellum is involved in the coordination of voluntary motor movement, balance and equilibrium and muscle tone

@Others: Good effort! We really appreciate your contribution to this forum. Keep posting!

Cerebrum

1. Position: Largest part of brain. It is a part of fore brain.
2. Cavity: Lateral ventricle.
3. Functions: Controls voluntary functions and seat of learning.

Cerebellum

1. Position: Large sized part of hind brain.
2. Cavity: Solid (no metacoel) in human brain.

3. Functions: Coordinates voluntary functions and controls equilibrium.

one of the basic anatomical difference between these two structures is in there numbers of layers of grey matter. cerebrum has 6 layers of distinct cells in its cortex where as berebellum has only 3 layes of neronal cells in its cortex.

other difference that i could come up with was this that they both have difference in their vasculature. cerebellum has a very high vasculature as compared to cerebrum.

hope it helps u

thumbs up plzz

The Cerebellum, located just above the brain stem, controls Balance, equilibrium andFine Movement Coordination (as well as helps with muscle tone).

The Cerebrum is located in the anterior (front) portion of the forebrain. It is divided into two hemispheres that are connected by the corpus callosum (The corpus callosum is a thick band of fibers located between the cerebral hemispheres and connects the 2 hemispheres together) Determines intelligence, personality, interpretation of sensory impulses and motor function . It also helps with planning and organization as well as touch sensation.

CEREBRUM-1.it is the largest part and forms 4/5 part of brain .

2. it consists of two lobes called cerebral hemispheres.

3. it initiates and controls the conscious sensation ane the movements of striped muscles

CEREBELLUM-1.LArgest part of hind brain

2,consists two large lateral lobes called cerebellar hemispheres

3.it control and coordinates the movements of various groups of muscles
