What is the definition of Symbiotic mode of nutrition?

Your friend Ayushi is right.

Symbiosis is mutually beneficial association existing between two organisms and both organisms derive benefit from each other without causing any harm to each other. Examples: Leguminous plants shows symbiotic nutrition mode. Alga and fungus live together. Fungus provides water and shelter to alga. In return, alga provides food prepared by photosynthesis.

The relationship between two or more organisms in which they share their shelter and nutrients is called symbiotic relationship. All the organisms involved in symbiotic relationship are benefited. The most well known example is the legume plants with Rhizobium bacterium. Other example is Lichen (the relationship between algae and fungi) and Honey bees and flowers etc.
