what is the culture of the santhal tribes

Santhal tribe is one of the largest tribe in India. it is mainly concentrated in the states of Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa, West Bengal etc.They have a passion for dancing. It is a mode of recreation and relaxation. It also forms a part of Santhal fairs and festivals. Santhal women dress in red bordered white sari dance in a line sequence.Santhal s are also music lovers. they play bamboo flute and several local hand made instruments. They do not worship idols.They follow Sarna religion and believe in ghosts and spirits and pay respect to them.They also practise animal sacrifices as offerings to Gods and Goddesses like Marangburu, Manjhi, Jaheraera.
