The speaker stands in the woods, considering a fork in the road. Both ways are equally worn and equally overlaid with un-trodden leaves. The speaker chooses one, telling himself that he will take the other another day. Yet he knows it is unlikely that he will have the opportunity to do so. And he admits that someday in the future he will recreate the scene with a slight twist: He will claim that he took the less-traveled road.

The poem talks about the choices that one has to  make in life and their consequences. One day while walking in a wooded area full of trees with yellow leaves, the poet comes to a fork in the place and he has to decide which road he should take.He starts debating over the choice as he realizes he cannot walk on both. The second road appears to be less travelled and he  is tempted to walk on it even though the first path also appears to have been left undisturbed for some time. However,he decides to take the second path with the intention of walking on the first one sometime in future. At the same time he knows that the chances of his returning that way are slim especially as he is aware of the manner in which one path leads on the other ,taking the traveller far away from the main path.In the last stanza, the poet becomes philosophical when he talks about a future timw when he looks back at the  choices that he has made in life and their consequences. He feels his life will be very different from the common because he has always been tempted to take the path not generally followed by others. It shows the poet as an adventurous man ready to take risks in life.He does not appear to like following the conventional path.

The mood of the poem is philosophical and thoughtful as the narrator wonders whether his choices of the road he decided to travel upon had been the right one

Our speaker has come to a fork in a path in the woods. It's fall, and the leaves are turning colors. He's unsure which way to go, and wishes he could go both ways. He looks down one path as far as he can see, but then he decides to take the other. He thinks the path he decides to take is not quite as worn as the other one, but really, the paths are about the same, and the fallen leaves on both look pretty fresh.

The speaker reflects on how he plans to take the road that he didn't take another day, but suspects that he probably won't ever come back. Instead, far off in the future, he'll be talking about how his decision was final and life changing.

The poem,The Road Not Taken, is pretty clear to me. This poem is related to our real life. Sometimes, we face difficulties in life and cannot decide what we do in the situation. We would like to choose both paths, but it is not possible. We stand and look at the different situations, and it is difficult to decide to choose one path. So,, we should think carefully, because it is our life. We think after choosing one path we will choose another path, but we doubted we would be able to, because in life one thing leads to another and time is short. Then sometimes we decide to choose the path many others have not traveled. It means at certain points in our life we decide to follow our own path, and not the one that we think we should follow. We want to become different to others so we decided to choose different path, but it may be harmful for us and then we feel sorry for ourselves. It's those times in life when we make a leap of faith, and put negative thoughts out of our mind. When we trust our instincts, suddenly we start living the life we were meant to live. It's a poem about finding our own way; listen to our own voice, and our own path in life. When we start to bend into your instincts and follow them our life becomes uniquely our own and when we are on an authentic path and not living according to someone else's ideals, we have a chance to be our most successful. It is important to be careful with the time frame. We should be very careful to choose any path, because we cannot know how our choice will affect our future.

The poet is standing in a fork of a road and is confused on which path he should choose. So it's the comparision of that situation such as in a man's life. Like usually all of us do, the poet has a think of probability that he might be telling this with a sigh...regreting to have chosen the path which he had taken.
