what is raw and primary data
RAW DATA
When the numerical figures of a data have not been arranged in an order, then it is said to be a RAW DATA.The raw data hardly gives any useful information at a glance unless it is organised.
For example, Mr. Varun (Maths Teacher) wanted to find how children had performed in Maths test. He writes down the marks obtained by the students in the following way:
26, 28, 31, 38, 27, 32, 35, 39, 45,41
So in this form the data was not easy to understand as he was not able to interpret the results of the students.
Data collected by the investigator himself with a specific objective in his mind is called primary data
