Infrastructure is basic physical and organizational structures needed for the operation of a society or enterprise, or the services and facilities necessary for an economy to function.

examples.- roads, electricity,transports, .............etc.

 AN INFRASTRUCTURE IS A FRAMEWORK OR SUPPORTING SYSTEM. IT SUPPORTS THE ECONOMY IN GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT.

INFRASTRUCTURAL DEVELOPMENT IS OF TWO TYPES:- ECONOMIC INFRASTRUCTURE WHICH HELPS THE SOCIETY IN DEVELOPING ECONOMICALLY STRONGER.   EXAMPLE:- ROAD, IT INDUSTRY.

SECONDLY, SOCIAL INFRASTRUCTURE WHICH DEVELOPS THE EQUALITY IN SOCIETY AND PROMOTE THE GROWTH WITH SOCIAL JUSTICE, CALLED DEVELOPMENT. EXAMPLE:- EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTES AND HEALTH FACILITIES..

Infrastructure means "The structure below", i.e., foundation. Infrastructure refers to the facilities, activities and services which support operation and development of other sectors of the railways and shipping facilities.
