 An adjective is a word used to add something to the meaning of a noun {or a pronoun}.

In a cruel master cruel is the adjective, similarly in my aunt,my is the adjective.

A pronoun is a word used in the place of a noun.The noun for which a pronoun stands is called its antercedent.

Monica is a brillinant girl.she is the favourite of all the teachers .All of them admire her.

IN the example given above,the noun is Monica  is the antecedent of the pronouns she and her.The noun teacher is the antecedent of the pronoun them.
