lophs means??? and by the way.............. mujhe itna pata hai that these are the types of flagellar arrangements observed in bacteria. but i don't know, what they exactly are !!! :( :( and thats y i asked this ques........

Cephalotrichous : Bacteria with lots of flagella attached on one side.
Lophotrichous : Bacteria with several flagella attached at each and every end.

okay thank you :) :) but in ARIHANT pblication, it is written that - Lophotrichous :Bacteria withmore than 2 flagella attached on one end.

But in Trueman's ELEMENTARY BIOLOGY:- Cephalotrichous: - a tuft or group of flagella occurs at each of the two ends or poles.
Lophotrichous: - A group or tuft of flagella is found only at one end.
