what is alternating current & what is difference between accurrent& dc current

Alternate current is that in which the cycle of current changes alternatively with time.

It the result of the current produced from an AC generator in which when the coil rotates in the magnet then the direction of current produced is changed alternatively.

difference :

Direct current is a unidirectional flow of current. It does not change with time and produced by sources such as solar cells, batteries, dry cells etc. whereas alternating current is that in which the cycle of current changes alternatively with time.It the result of the current produced from an AC generator in which when the coil rotates in the magnet then the direction of current produced is changed alternatively.

Alternating Current
It is the current of magnitude varying with time
It reverses its direction while flowing in a circuit
Obtained from A.C Generator and mains
Safer to transfer over longer city distances and can provide more power
Rotating magnet along the wire
Electrons keep switching directions - forward and backward

Direct Current
It is the current of constant magnitude
It flows in one direction in the circuit
Obtained from Cell or Battery
Voltage of DC cannot travel very far until it begins to lose energy
Steady magnetism along the wire
Electrons move steadily in one direction or 'forward'
