What factors are to be considered while deciding standards?

the following are some of the factors that should be kept in mind while setting the standards in management:
i. Practical- The standards so decided should be practical in nature i.e. they should be obtainable in the given time limit.
ii. Measurable- An important factor while deciding the standards is that they should be measurable. In other words, the managers should set the standards in such a manner that the standards and the actual work done in comparison to the standards can be easy measured.
iii. Adaptable- The standards so set should be adaptable and flexible in nature. That is, they should be adaptable to the necessary changes when and wherever required.
