Lymphatic system is a part of our circulatory system that transports a watery clear fluid called lymph and its main function is to absorb excess body fluid and return it to bloodstream. It consists of lymph nodes, lymph vessels and lymphoid organs. Lymph plays an important role in defending the body against foreign substances such as toxins, clears the microorganisms such as bacteria because of the presence of lymphocytes. This helps the body to build-up an effective immunity to infectious diseases.
