What do you understand by military coup
SOLUTION:
- A military coup is a forcible transition of power by overthrowing the ruler. It consists of military leadership deciding to take executive and legislative powers in its own hands and channelising its machinery to deprive the executive of the same.
- In other words we can say that- When the army of a country takes over the legislative powers by usurping powers by force, and clamps down the functions of a judiciary, then that situation is called as military coup.
