what are the origins of social differences??
Social differences are based either upon the birth of an individual in a particular community or the choices made by an individual. Caste, community and religon are primarily ascribed to an individual at birth. While physical differences are present in individuals from birth itself, differences due to choice include education and lifestyle. However, many of these choices are also shaped by the socio-economic conditions that an individual encounters. Thus, a person born in an affluent family has more options available for education than one who is born in a family with limited means.
