what are the changes in nature in the month of nov , dec, jan?

In October, the narrator talks about the winter rain and snowing. After a severe hailstorm, the sky and hills are filled with the golden light of the sun. Thus mentioning the advent of the winter season, the narrator jumps to the weather conditions in January. This probably means that November and December were similar in aspects to the rest of the winter season. The narrator then talks about the chill of January and how lonely it all seemed in the absence of his friend. Also, the winter rain was quite rhythmically falling, making sounds among the leaves, windowpane and bushes. Sometimes it seemed that it had stopped raining but then, it would start again. The trees were no longer green but grey as it was the winter season.
