Advantages of multicellular organisms:

• Division of labour: different cells are specialized to perform different functions thus allowing to perform the functions better. 
• Permits increasing complexity- A group of biologists consider that complexity increases within the organisms when we move from unicellular to multicellular organisms and this complexity helps the organism to adapt and perform better. 
• The reproduction in multicellular organisms is usually more complex as most of them undergo sexual reproduction, but it  ensures survival at greater rate and induces more variations in the offsprings for their benefit.
