What are the advantages and disadvantages of hybridization in plants with examples..?

Hybridization may be defined as the process of mating two organisms belonging to two different species to create an organism possessing the qualities of both the organisms. The advantages of hybridization are:
1) They can increase the yield.
1) Two species combine to form the best of the organism eliminating the unwanted qualities of both the parent species.
2) They result in the formation of organisms which possess various qualities such as disease resistance, stress resistance etc.
The disadvantages of hybridization are:
1) The process of hybridization is quite expensive costing up to five times the value of the normal process.
2) They suffer more than the normal plants if not provided with the normal requirements.
Advantages:- 1) If hybridisation is done properly then we can get a fruit or a crop according to our desire and our needed charecterstics. Ex- If we want a big, sweet and juicy mango in a very short period of time the we can hydridise it according to our desired charecterstics.
2) We can hybridise different gene of the fruit or crop, different variety of fruit or crop and we can also hydridise different species of crop and plant.
Disadvantages:- By hybidisation we can get our desired charecterstics into a crop plant in a very short period of time but sometimes it may be harmful and dangereous for the plant and for us also as it could damage some part of the crop plant and when we will eat it we could also be harmed.
