welcome speech for teachers day

I am talking to you on the special occasion of Teachers' Day. On this day, we gratefully remember the great educationist Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, whose dream was that "Teachers should be the best minds in the country". Hence, Teachers' Day is very important for all our people, for our students and even for all the parents, as the teachers lay the foundation for creating enlightened citizens for the nation. On this day, I would like to recall the teachers who helped me in shaping my life. In India, Teacher's Day (also called Teachers' Appreciation Day or National Teacher's Day) is celebrated on 5th of September, every year. The date was selected, because it is the birthday of a timeless teacher and the former President of India - Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. When some of his students and friends approached him and requested him to allow them to celebrate his birthday, he said, "instead of celebrating my birthday separately, it would be my proud privilege, if September 5th is observed as Teacher's day".The request showed Dr.Radhakrishnan's love for the teaching profession. From then onwards, the 5th of September has been observed as Teachers Day, in India. Teachers have an influencing role in the life of every student. They are like beacons of light, guiding us in the formative years of our life. Teachers mould us and in the process and shape our future. What we learn from our teachers remains with us, throughout our life. However, very often, we fail to show our appreciation and gratitude for their altruistic devotion. Teachers do need encouragement and support from the community to feel that their efforts are being recognized. To serve the purpose, Teacher's Day is celebrated throughout the world, year by year. By celebrating National Teacher's Day, we thank our teachers for providing us their invaluable guidance.

They are called as the back bone of our society because they highly contribute in building up our characters, shaping our future and help us to be ideal citizens of the country.
Teacher’s day is celebrated all across the India every year on 5th of September to pay tribute to the teachers for their precious contributions in our study as well as towards the society and country. There is a great reason behind the celebration of teacher’s day on 5th of September. Actually, 5th of September is the birthday Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. He was a great person and highly devoted towards the education. He was well known as the scholar, diplomat, Vice President of India, President of India and most importantly the Teacher. After his selection as the Indian President in 1962, he was asked and requested by the students to get permission to celebrate his birthday on 5th of September. However, he replied that, instead of celebrating 5th of September as my personal birthday, it would be better if it is dedicated to the whole teaching profession. And 5th of September should be celebrated as teachers day all over India to pay honor to the teaching profession.
For all students of India, Teachers’ Day is like an occasion and opportunity to pay tribute and gratitude to their teachers for their continuous, selfless and precious efforts in shaping the future. They are the reason to enrich all the quality education system in the country and process it continuously without getting tired. Our teachers never consider us less than their own children and teaches us from their heart. As kids we need inspiration and motivation which we surely get from our teachers. They prepare us to tackle any bad situation of the life through the knowledge and patience. Dear teachers, we are really grateful to all of you and would be forever.

For students, Teachers' Day is an occasion to pay reverence and gratitude to teachers for their selfless effort in shaping their career and enriching the education system in the process.

When is Teachers' Day celebrated? The date for celebrating this special event varies from country to country across the world. In India, Teachers' Day is celebrated on the 5th of September every year, whereas, China celebrates this event on 10th September every year. The celebration in each country is generally correlated to either significant personalities or achievements of milestone in the field of education. India celebrates Teachers' Day on September 5 since 1962 as it is the birth anniversary of Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, a prominent thinker, philosopher and an educator. Most of the schools and institutions make elaborate preparations for the celebrations. This is often followed by a range of colourful cultural programs, feast and other activities which make the event special and memorable.

A few traditional ways of celebrating the event include presenting colourful flowers, beautiful Teachers' Day cards or gifts to the teacher as tokens of love and admiration. But students often try innovative ways and ideas to celebrate Teachers' Day.

Some rely on creative and attractive Teachers' Day greeting cards adorned with captivating and touchy quotes and messages to convey the indebtedness unfailingly and also to capture the wonderful moments of the event. Others select lovely and popular Teachers' Day quotes to convey their inner feeling of love for their teacher.

Sending animated or e-greeting card is also a rage in the contemporary times. Available absolutely free of cost, these Teachers' Day Greetings e-cards have become a preferred way to send warm wishes and shower emotions on teachers.

Another modern and popular mode of wishing teachers today is the Teachers' Day SMS. The advantage of sending SMS is that the message reaches its destination promptly and rarely goes unnoticed. Welcome Speech Format for Teachers

Assalam-o-alaikum and a very good morning to all of you!

It is my privilege that I am standing here, at this prestigious stage and given the opportunity to say warm words of welcome to the new teacher of LGF Burki Campus. I cordially welcome the teachers on behalf of our institution.

We are obliged to you, for choosing this valued profession. Many of people don’t think it as important as doctors, engineers. But who are the one who make them, who are the worthy personalities who make students able to be at superior level.

You the teachers are the mentors of society; teachers are the ideal personality for them. They follow teachers, their rules, their lifestyle, and their habits. Being popular among students and being the one from whom they are afraid of, they are happy with, they are frank with is the charm of teaching. With a positive attitude and a sense of humor, you will create wonderful learning environment for your students.

It is said that, Teaching is the profession that makes all other professions possible. Teachers are the one who bring about change in student’s life with fun, excitement and develop thrill of learning in them. You are the one who guide children, help them in setting an aim, supports them in every condition and make chances for them to come forward.

We found ourselves lucky to have such talented and competent personalities as teachers among us. We are really thankful to you for choosing this and thinking this profession valuable are worthy.

A teacher is one who creates alluring ambiance with his students and sets a target in their minds. Who make the students able to bear the hardships and aware them of upcoming circumstances. We appreciate the services of a teacher, thinking him as a best Councillor, guide, and mentor of personalities and societies.

We wish you all the best for your tenure in this organization, and we hope that you will keep your heads high and bring golden feathers in the cap of our institution. Our motto is to provide quality education, and that will definitely be accomplished by our quality staff. We are proud of our team for choosing the best and talented teachers for our students- ‘The builders of nation’.

It was all from my side, I want to call Ms. Fatima on stage to further continue the event and say some memorable words.

Thank you so much!

One child, one teacher , one pen and one book can change the world,' a quote by the daughter of a teacher, Malala Yousafzai. Rightly so, teachers are the first guiding step in this big bad world. Without a mentor over our heads, a guide to distinguish right from wrong, we will all be bodies without spirit.

While growing up, the only person we tend to respect after our parents, are our teachers. Because the greatest lessons are learnt in the classroom. Even though many times we feel that they are a waste, but somewhere after a decade, everything starts coming into practicality, and hence our bookish lessons come to life.

Teachers may not always be confined to the four walls of a school. They may come in the form of your parents, sibling, soulmate, friends or simply a companion like your dog. The small moments with these special people in our lives often leave us spellbound with the lessons we may never learn otherwise.

This teachers day , do not just thank your 'on paper' teachers. Thank anyone and everyone who have contributed in making you, you. Not every teacher needs to be called ma'am or sir and not every teacher needs a stick to teach you a lesson. Experiences with certain people often turn out to be our greatest teachers and should be cherished.

eachers' Day is a special day for the appreciation of teachers, and may include celebrations to honor them for their special contributions in a particular field area, or the community in general.

The idea of celebrating Teachers' Day took root in many countries during the 19th century; in most cases, they celebrate a local educator or an important milestone in education (for example, Argentina has commemorated Domingo Faustino Sarmiento's death on 11 September since 1915,[1] while India traditionally celebrates Guru Purnima, an Indian and Nepalese festival dedicated to spiritual and academic teachers which is celebrated on the full moon day (Purnima) in the Hindu month of Ashadha (June–July) as it is known in the Hindu calendar of Indiaand Nepal. The birthday of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan (5 September) is also celebrated as Teacher's Day in India since 1962.[2] This is the primary reason why countries celebrate this day on different dates, unlike many other International Days.

Thank You

I am deeply honored to be with you today to celebrate World Teachers’ Day. I would like to express my sincere thanks to the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport for organizing this important event.

Let me begin my remarks by expressing my profound gratitude to all teachers who are present here and all around Cambodia for your tireless commitments, limitless contributions, dedication and continued hard work despite all the challenges and difficulties you may encounter.

Following UNESCO’s four pillars of learning: Learning to know, Learning to do, Learning to be, and Learning to live together with peace and harmony, teachers not only pass on the knowledge to children, youth and adults, but also teach us critical thinking and how to be responsible citizens.

I would like to take this opportunity to commend the MoEYS leadership for having put Teacher component as a key priority reform of the Ministry in recent years. This is in fact an evidence of the national theme this year emphasized on vital role of “Teacher as a Real Shaper of Student’s Future”. Amongst the priority reforms, the Teacher Policy Action Plan offers learning opportunities for teachers and increase of salary.

Excellencies, Distinguished Guests, Teachers and Colleagues

hello everyone!!
on this auspicious occassion  which remarks the birthday of our beloved prime minister "Sarvapalli radhakrishnan" i would like to wish all of you especially our mentors a very happy "teachers day".
no one can deny the truth that our parents taught us to walk..but they were our  teachers who created our path.they were our traffic lights who guide us the right direction.
it was their motivation and care which led us to perform well.they often used to scold when we were fighting with each other for sitting on first bench..when we used to beat juniors...but it was for our benefit ..to learn moral values...
whenever we were upset regarding our results they stood by us and protected from our parents scold..they used to say...next time he will perform good :)
they are the pillars behind the students who are future of our country...words become less to express my feelings towardsur teachers...today's function is just a way to make you feel that how impotant is your presence in our life....
thank you!!!

Respected Principal, Respected teachers and my dear fellow Students,

It feels great to welcome you all to this auspicious occasion; since we have gathered here to celebrate one of the most admirable occasions i.e. Teacher’s Day, it’s an opportunity for me to share few words about teachers, their role in schools and colleges and their influence on the students.

Teachers are the backbone of our society because they majorly contribute in shaping the future of a nation, i.e. students and guide them in becoming an ideal citizen of the country. Teacher’s job is full of responsibility and challenges because not every student is same and thus the teacher has to be dynamic and adopt different teaching patterns for different students. Teaching is a social practice and more than knowledge, a teacher must be a good human being who can very well shoulder the responsibility of his/her job and understand the sensitivity of the situation where students from different backgrounds have come together for learning and thus apply skills and knowledge to the best of his/her capacity while teaching.

Some of the qualities which every teacher must possess in order to become most acceptable are:

  • Enthusiasm – It is a known fact that teachers who show enthusiasm while teaching create a positive atmosphere and learning environment which help students in gaining knowledge fast and with fun. These teachers don’t follow the uniform pattern instead, they innovate teaching methods to keep the students engaged and enthusiastic.

The most important role a teacher plays is in motivating the students; some of the students find their teacher to be a role model and try to imitate them. Thus it is very important that the teacher leaves a positive impression on each student.

  • Interaction with learners – It is very important for the teacher to indulge into transparent and open discussion with the students in order to understand the capability of the learner. Some students are shy, while other may be afraid of failure. A teacher is highly trusted to build up the student emotionally and practically.

Conventionally, teaching is considered equivalent to praying. In olden days, parents used to leave their children in gurukul (a kind of residential school where students live with the teacher for studies). This tradition was greatly supported by the trust and bond between the parents and teachers. Even today, trust is one of the most important factors which motivate parents to get their children admitted in a particular school. A teacher is considered to be the alternate parents; this makes teaching all the more challenging and full of accountability.

In recent days, we get to hear a lot about corporal punishment. Some of the teachers get barbaric and beat students so badly that some of them don’t even survive. This is highly restricted in all over India. Though it is important for the teachers to be strict sometimes but there can be alternate methods to punish the students than harming them physically.

Well, I would like to end this note with a huge thanks to our teachers who are so caring and compassionate. We are highly honoured to be a part of this School.

Thank You!

Hon’ble Principal, Vice Principal, Teachers and My Dear Students – Warm Greetings to Everyone!

On the occasion of teacher’s day, I – Manu Saini being the head girl is present before you all to deliver a welcome speech for our beloved teachers. We all welcome our teachers to an entertaining day where we as students would take an opportunity to present before you various plays and dances which will not allow you to leave your seats.

Teachers’ day is one of the most important days in the life of students. This day is celebrated on 5th September on the birth date of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan who himself was a teacher of great repute and also held the position of India’s second President.

Students are considered to be the future pillars, then teachers you are the ones who construct those pillars in a positive way. You shape our lives in a beautiful manner through your hard work and dedication. We are happy to celebrate this day to show you how grateful we are for whatever you have done for us your entire life.

I would love to share my experience of an amazing teacher which made me realize that how important teachers are in our lives. I was in kindergarten when I wrote my first essay and my teacher gave me a star. It was not only a star for me but a motivation to do well in my life and here today I stand before all of you as the head girl of my school. My teacher was the one who gave me that confidence. This is what a teacher’s role is in our lives. Teachers have magic wands which helps us in making our lives easier and fruitful. It is rightly said that “teachers are candles who keep on burning and igniting our minds which removes the darkness of ignorance from our lives”. They mould us, shape us and carve us in becoming good human beings with their virtue of knowledge.

Teachers’ Day is celebrated in India on 5th September every year. It is the birthday of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan This great son of India was an outstanding scholar and teacher. Later on he became the Vice President of Indian republic when Dr. Rajendra Prasad was the President of India. When he died, Radhakrishnan became the President.

Teachers’ day is observed to pay respect to the teachers of our country. We also pay our respect to our own teachers. Teachers are regarded as the back-bone of our society. They have the greatest contribution to build up the characters of students and help them to become ideal citizens of our country.

The teachers teach students most carefully and sincerely and love them as their own children. We owe them more than our parents. Our parents bring us up and give us food and drink for our survival, but teachers arouse our hearts with light of knowledge and remove all sorts of ignorance. The study that we do at schools and colleges build the foundation of our character.

The teachers inspire us to proceed forward, to build our ethics and prepare us to withstand obstacles of our life. The teacher also imparts immense knowledge and wisdom in our lives. On this day, teachers are honored through various functions and these functions are celebrated at every place throughout the country. The government also pays respect to them by giving different awards. On this day, we give them thanks and honor them by saying, – we are grateful to you dear teachers for all you do for us.

Teachers work hard day and night to bring out the best in students. They unfolds the our hidden talents and creativity . Just like a good gardener, a teacher sows the seeds of moral-ethics within us so that we can become good citizens.

Every year 5th of September, we celebrate Teachers Day. It is a day filled with lots of excitement, joy and happiness as students are eagerly looking forward to tell their teachers how and why are they special to them. It is my honour to to talk about our dear teachers on this wonderful occasion. We celebrate Teachers' day on 5th of September every year in India. Along with being a succesful leader in the form of the President of the Country, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was great scholar and an excellent teachers.Students across the country celebrate this day to pay respect and thank their teachers. Teachers are the back bone of our society. They spear head change by shaping and building students' personality and make them ideal citizens of the country. As one looks at the great impact on the growth, development and well being of the students and nation, one must agree that teaching is a noble profession. There is a saying that teachers are greater than the parents. Parents give birth to a child whereas teachers mould that child's personality and provide a bright future. Apart from academics, teachers stand by us at every step to guide, motivate and inspire to become better people. They are the source of knowledge and wisdom. From them leads the ideas and thougts, that one day each one of use will use to provide back into this society. I would like to extend my gratitude to every teacher for selffless service and dynamic support. We are always grateful to you.

A teacher is a friend, philosopher, and guide who holds our hand, opens our mind, and touches our heart. The contribution of a teacher cannot be ignored at all. In many countries across the world, teacher's day is a special day where teachers of schools, colleges, and universities are honored specially. The date varies from country to country. The universally accepted World Teacher's Day is 5th October. In India, the Teacher's Day is celebrated on 5th September and this tradition started from 1962. This is the when Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was born. He was a philosopher, scholar, teacher, and politician and his dedicated work towards education made his birthday an important day in the history of India. We remember the great work of this exemplary person on this day.

Actually, this man, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was a friendly teacher and he was popular among his students for the example he always set in front of them. So, one day his students and friends requested him to allow them to celebrate his birthday in a lavish way. In return he said that it would be his pride and honor if they celebrate his birthday in respect of all teachers. And since then this day 5th September is celebrated as Teacher's Day.

Now, talking about the rest of the world, World Teacher's Day is celebrated on 5th October and it started form 1994. It was UNESCO who started this tradition. The focus set by UNESCO was to celebrate the engrossment and accomplishment of teachers and also the primacies that they put on the field of education. Now why 5th October is taken up as the Teacher's Day? On this day in the year 1966, a special intergovernmental conference adopted the UNESCO endorsement regarding the statuses of teachers.

Why do We Celebrate?

Teaching is the most influential job in the world. Teachers are known to shape the mind of youth and without knowledge no one can exist in this world. Teacher imparts good value in children and turn them into responsible citizens. So, almost every country celebrates Teacher's Day.

In India, we celebrate this day on the birthday of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. He was a man of many good qualities and a favorite teacher among students. It was his request that his birthday should be celebrated as an honorable day for all the teachers in the country, in case someone is wishing to celebrate his birthday at all. So, in a nutshell, we celebrate Teacher's Day because teachers have been the architect of the society and without them no society can walk in the path of progression.

In his book titled, "Political Thinkers of Modern India", he signified the importance of teachers and education in a country like Democratic India which was still in its early years of development. According to him, there is a huge role of teachers in nation building and for that sake teachers should be respected more. Apart from being a thinker and teacher he was also a philosopher. He once wrote a book on Bhaagwad Gita and there he defined a teacher as, “The one who emphasizes on presentation to converge different currents of thoughts to the same end”.

By the time he entered politics, most of the leaders of that time like Jawaharlal Nehru, Mahatma Gandhi, or Dr. Rajendra Prasad were his fans for this thinking in nation building. His skills were proven in the arena of politics also. He had the political insight to recognize the impediments well in advance and also carried the required courage to scold party leaders for their procrastination and delinquency. Way back in 1947, he warned the former Congress people about the alarming consequences of nepotism and corruption. We are dealing with it now!

Such a man of course requires a standing ovation. So, to promote the values and principles of a true teacher, this day is celebrated.

A very good morning to the Principal, respected teachers and my dear colleagues. We are here today to celebrate a most honorable occasion of Teachers Day. Really it is an honorable occasion to all the students all over the India. It is observed every year to pay respect to the teachers from their obedient students. So, dear friends come on and join this celebration to pay a heartily respect to our own teachers.

‘One child, one teacher, one pen and one book can change the world,’ a quote by the daughter of a teacher, Malala Yousafzai. Rightly so, teachers are the first guiding step in this big bad world. Without a mentor over our heads, a guide to distinguish right from wrong, we will all be bodies without spirit.
While growing up, the only person we tend to respect after our parents, are our teachers. Because the greatest lesso ns are learnt in the classroom. Even though many times we feel that they are a waste, but somewhere after a decade, everything starts coming into practicality, and hence our bookish lessons come to life.Teachers may not always be confined to the four walls of a school. They may come in the form of your parents, sibling, soulmate, friends or simply a companion like your dog. The small moments with these special people in our lives often leave us spellbound with the lessons we may never learn otherwise.

The small moments with these special people in our lives often leave us spellbound with the lessons we may never learn otherwise.
Not every teacher needs to be called ma’am or sir and not every teacher needs a stick to teach you a lesson. Experiences with certain people often turn out to be our greatest teachers and should be cherished.

They pass this knowledge with the hope that we as students will achieve success in our life and make good careers. We are indebted to our teachers for every little thing in our life. You have always been our guiding angels and our entertainers too by teaching us in a fun manner through which we learn and also enjoy our syllabus instead of getting bored.

Teachers demand nothing from us but teach us with the hope that one day we will become successful in our lives. Thus, we as students have the responsibility to work hard in our studies and make our teachers and students proud. Working hard in studies is not the only duty, but we also need to carry forward the moral values that our teachers have taught us to the future generation. The most important thing is to value and respect our amazing teachers.

Therefore, I request all my dear friends to follow the advice of your teachers and become their ideal students so that you can bring a beautiful smile on their faces.

Thank You!

hope it helps u...

I am honoured to stand before you today as we celebrate Teacher's Day in our school. Today is a day to acknowledge and appreciate our teachers' hard work and passion, who have played an instrumental and constructive role in shaping our minds and guiding us on the path to success.
Our teachers are not just educators but mentors, guides, and friends. They have imparted knowledge to us and instilled valuable life lessons that will stay with us forever. They have constantly encouraged us to pursue our passions and never to give up on our dreams.

Teaching is challenging and requires a lot of patience, hard work, and dedication. Our teachers have always been there for us, guiding us through our struggles and celebrating our successes. They have always been willing to go the extra mile to ensure that we understand the material and are prepared for our exams.

On this occasion, I would like to thank all our teachers for their unwavering support and guidance. I want to thank them for their patience, kindness, and commitment to our education. My deepest gratitude goes out to all teachers at our school. You have impacted our lives, and we are forever grateful for all you have done for us.
