we have take a big court yard which is rich in alluvial soil we take a mango tree and a coconut tree and plant them after 1 year the the persons see that the coconut tree grow bigger but the mango tree is not as bigger than the coconut tree why?give reasons to support your answer

Dear student.

Alluvium or alluvial soil consists of loose, unconsolidated soil or sediments, eroded and deposited by river water. Alluvium includes fine particles of silt, clay and larger particles of sand and gravel. This soil is very fertile and suitable for the growth of crops.

Mango grows on almost all types of soil, but it needs to be well drained, whereas coconut tree can grow in little amount of available water. As alluvial soil contains larger particles of sand and gravel, it cannot easily hold water. So after one year the person observed, coconut tree grew more as compared to mango tree.

Regards.
