The Turko-Afghan invasions had a very influential impact on Indian society. The result of these invasions was that the first Islamic Sultanate was being established in India. With the increase in the number of Islamic rulers and their dynasties, Islam emerged as one of the major religions in India after Hinduism. The establishment of Islamic dynasties also influenced Indian culture, art, architecture and languages. A new forms of art and architecture began to emerge which was later known as Indo- Islamic architecture.It was a beautiful synthesis of Hindu and Islamic art,architecture and culture.
