Three students are leaning over the edge of a cliff. Each of them release a ball in a different way. Ball A is dropped from rest, ball B is thrown downward with an initial speed of 10m/s and ball C is thrown upward with an initial speed of 10m/s. Which of the following are correct:
A) speed of A = Speed of B = speed of C B) speed of b > speed of a > speed of c
c)speed of b < speed of a < speed of c d)speed of a < speed of b = speed of c
Dear Student,
Option (d) would be correct, if you compare the initial speeds i.e., just at the start of the motion from the cliff.
Clearly, speed of A = 0 which is given and it will be least. Now B & C are both thrown up and down respectively with same speeds, So they have same speeds.
