Logos My reasons for marrying are, first, that I think it is a right thing for every clergyman to set the example of matrimony in his parish.  Mr. Collins his giving his arguments for marrying Elizabeth As he is stating reasons for the proposal, it is an example of logos.
Pathos "I singled you out as the companion of my future life." It means Elizabeth was the only one he is willing to marry. Mr. Collins is trying to state that she finds Elizabeth the most desirable woman. She is something many woman like to hear. 
Ethos " I have your respective mother's permission for speaking with you." It means that Mr. Collins is suggesting that Elizabeth's mother agrees that Elizabeth should marry Mr. Collins As the proposal is endorsed by the mother of Elizabeth, it is an attempt by Mr. Collins to assert that his proposal is credible and has backing of her mother.
