RTI(right to information) act passed in 2005 gives an ordinary citizen to seek the process of decision makings he wishes for. It let the citizen know the correct procedure of decision making. Earlier it was difficult for an ordinary person to know the procedure  involved in decision making process.  But RTI act maintains the transparency and ensures democracy.This let the democracy produce government which is accountable to the people. So it is rightly said that the right to information act acts as a watchdog of democracy.
