The average marks in statistics obtained by 30 students is 52. The average marks of top 6 students is 31. Calculate the average marks of the remaining students

Dear Student,
Average marks = Sum of marks of all the students/ No. of Students

Average marks of 30 students = 52
52 = Sum of marks of all the students/ 30
Sum of marks of all the students = 52 x 30 = 1560

Average marks of top 6 students =31
31 = Sum of marks of 6 students/ 6
Sum of marks of 6 top students = 31 x 6 = 186

Sum of marks of remaining 24 (30 - 6) students = 1560 - 186 = 1374
Average marks of 24 students = Sum of marks of 24 students/ No. of students
                                               = 1374 / 24 = 57.25

Regards
