Solution :

(1) The orbital time period is the time taken for a given object to make one complete orbit around another object. In this case, when a new planet is introduced in between Jupiter and Saturn, the distance between the sun and the new plant is lesser than the distance between the planet Saturn and the sun. Hence, the time period of the new planet is lesser than the time period of Saturn.

(2) The stone would go up and then come back to the surface of the moon. Because the acceleration due to gravity on the moon is lower than on Earth, the stone will rise and then return to the moon’s surface.
