Q. In an isothermal process 30 joule of work is performed by gas, the amount of heat supplied to the gas is
(1) 30 J
(2) - 30 J
(3) 15 J
(4) 60 J

Dear Student ,
In an isothermal process , change in temperature is zero and resultantly the change in the internal energy is also zero .
Thus in isothermal process the amount of heat required = work done performed by the gas =30 J
