7.Calculate the perimeter of given plane in HCP unit cell (Given that radius of atoms = R Å). ​

Please refer to the hcp structure provided below.


          


From figure 2 and 3 we can conclude that length of c is R+2R+R = 4R
and also length of AE = R+2R+R =4R

Now, perimeter of the given plane = 2AE + 2c = 8R + 8R =16R
