show that the heat absorbed at constant volume is equal to increase in internal energy of the system wheras that at constant pressure is equal to the increase in enthalpy of the system

Dear Students ,
                       According to the 1st Law of Thermodynamics ;
    delta U = q +w

    U= - P delta w
    delta U = q - p delta V

If the process is carried out at constant - volume then ,
    delta V = 0
    delta U = q
From definition ,
   H = U + pV
   delta H = delta U + delta (pV )
  delta U + p delta V  + V delta p

At  constant  pressure ;
         delta H =   delta U + p delta V

Substituting delta U = qp - p delta V
                       delta Hp = qp .

DONE !!!
  HOPE U ALL HAVE UNDERSTOOD BETTER ....
