Solution:-In figure a , the ray of light is not bending as it moves from n1 to n2 . And bending of light is due to change in refractive index. So here n1= n2
In fiigure b , the ray of light is bending towards the normal as it moves from n1 to n2 . And bending of light happens only when a ray travels from rarer to denser medium. Now , a medium with high refractive index is said to more denser than the medium with low refractive index . So in figure b , n2>n1
Now in figure c the ray of light is bending away from normal and it happens only when a light ray travels from denser to rarer medium. And a medium with high refractive index is said to be more denser than low refractive index . So here n1>n2
