Although coming from different backgrounds and doing different work, both Saheb and Mukesh are brothers as far as their suffering is concerned. Both the boys had to leave their childhood and start working hard to earn a livelihood. They were the victims of circumstances and had to lead a life of poverty. They were determined to do what they wanted but could not do so. We can say that they were conjoined by their destiny and so had to suffer likewise.
