Dear studentPhotopigments are the pigments that aborbs light and all have a similar structurewhich is made by protein called opsin and chromophore. These are found in oureyes. When chromophore absobs light photon, the double bond between the 11th and 12th carbon atoms flips, thus reconfiguring the molecule. For more you should go to biochemistry books.I hope it will help you!Regards
