Q. Distinguish ( give at least 3 points in every section)
1) Rbcs & Wbcs
2) Heartbeat & Pulse
3) Xylem & Phloem

Dear student.

RBC WBC
They contain haemoglobin. They are devoid of haemoglobin.
RBCs do not contain a nucleus. WBCs contain a nucleus.
RBCs transport oxygen from the lungs to various parts of the body. WBCs protect the body from infections.

2.

The heart beat is a complete cardiac cycle, during which the electrical impulse is conducted and mechanical contraction occurs. The contraction of the heart results in a heart beat.

This heart beat forces blood to pass through the arteries. The forcing of the blood to pass through the arteries results in the formation of pulse. The number of pulsations/ heart beats noted in a peripheral artery per unit of time is called pulse rate.

3.
Both xylem and phloem are types of vascular tissue that help in the transportation of substances in plants. The vascular tissue that transports water and minerals in plants is known as the xylem. It forms a network of channels that connects the root to the stem and the leaves of the plant. Phloem transports food prepared in the leaves to the other parts of the plant.
