Q: Cathy spent 3/4 of her pocket money. If she spent 1/3 of it for a movie, 1/6 for books and the rest for a dress, what part of her pocket money did she spent on the dress?

I am not sure about the answer but i guess it is 1/2
1/3of3/4=1/3*3/4=1/4
1/6of3/4=1/6*3/4=1/8
money spent on dress = 3/4-(1/4+1/8)
=3/4-3/8=3/8
therefore 3/8 is spent on dresses
What PART OF money was spent on dresses=3/8 / 3/4 as ___ *3/4=3/8
=3/8 / 4/3=1/2
