Puppet nawabs were not so useful as the company intended?

The puppet nawabs were  not so beneficial for the Company always because they too had some bindings and obligations.To gain respect from the subjects, the nawabs had to maintain dignity and pretend to build a good and honest picture in public.Though in reality they always helped the Britishers and remained loyal to them.
