Plz explain equation balancing

Solution:
When the number of atoms of each element of the reactant/s is equal to the number of atoms of the elements of the product/s , then the equation is said to be balanced.

Example: 2Mg + O2 → 2MgO
On Reactant side we have 2 atoms of magnesium and 2 atoms of oxygen
On the product side, we also have 2 Magnesium and 2 oxygen atoms
Balancing of redox reaction obeys Law of conservation of mass which states that matter can neither created nor destroyed during a chemical reaction.
This law only holds true if the number of atoms on both sides is equal.
