  1. worker in a rice mill who is paid on daily basis but employed regularly
  2. a handloom weaver
  3. typist woking in govt. office on a daily wage basis but paid monthly

A worker in rice mill paid on daily basis but employed regularly and a typist working in government office on a daily wage basis but paid monthly are regarded as casual workers. Casual workers refer to those workers who do not work throughout the year. Casual workers are not hired by employers on a regular basis. They do not enjoy social security benefits like provident fund, gratuity, etc. Here both, the worker in the rice mill as well as the typist working in the government office are although paid regularly but are hired on daily basis or casual basis. Hence, they are regarded as casual workers.

On the other hand, handloom weaver can be considered either as self-employed (if operates his own small-scale loom) or as regular employee (if  he is working in a handloom industry) .
