In the story Treasure Trove- The horse and the Two Goats, the most humorous part is drawn through the exchange between Muni and the American. The language barrier between the two creates funny instances in the story. The American expects Muni to speak English, however, Muni is unable to understand him. The only words he knows of English are 'yes' and 'no'. When the American greeted Muni by saying "Namaste! How do you do?", Muni afraid of the stranger being a cop could bring himself to say the only words he knew, "yes, no". Both the men belonged to different countries and were informed by separate cultures. Even when they tried to understand each other through sign language and expressed themselves by pointing at objects, both of them are on a different tangent of conversation. This makes the story more enjoyable, humorous, and fun to read.
