8. Lithium borohydride crystallizes in an orthorhombic system with 4-molecules per unit cell the unit cell of dimension are a=6.8Ao, b=4.4Ao and c=7.2Ao. If the molar mass in 21.54 calculate the density of the crystal.

Density = massvolumemass = no. of molecule per unit cell * molar mass = 4 * 21.546.022 * 1023 = 1.4 * 10-22 g volume = a *b* c = (6.8 * 10-8) * (4.4 * 10-8) * (7.2 * 10-8) = 215.424 * 10-24 cm3 density = 1.4 * 10-22215.424 * 10-24 =  0.664 g/cm3
