w = -nRT(2.303) log (P1/P2)
w =-2*0.0821*log (2/20)
w=0.1642 bar -L
work done for II process
For irreversible compression system :
wA = pext(V2-V1 )
wB= pext(V2-V1 )
Assuming value of V2 = 8L as you haven't mentioned it in the question.
V1 = 4L
WA = 10(8-4) = 40 Lbar.
WB = 20(8-4) = 80 Lbar.
Hence total work done in second stage compression is 80 i.e. Option B is correct answer
