P, Q, R, S were partners sharing profits in the ratio 2:3:5:2. S retires and his share is acquired by Q and R in the ratio 3:2. calculate the new ratio

Hey

Here the old ratio of P, Q, R and S is: 2 : 3 : 5 : 2
S retires from the firm
His share i.e. 212 is acquired by Q and R in the ratio of 3 : 2
Q's Gain = 35×212=660
R's Gain = 25×212=460
New Share = Old Share + Gaining Share

P's New Share = 212×55=1060
Q's New Share = 312+660=15+660=2160
R's New Share = 512+460=25+460=2960

New Profit Sharing Ratio of P, Q and R will be 10 : 21 : 29
