on what factor does the quality of a sound depend?

 timbre  and tone

isn't quality and timbre the same thing?

i think it is  amplitude and frequency srry if wrng

but the defination says that quality or timbre is the characteristic of sound which distinguishes it from another of the same pitch (dependent upon the frequency) and loudness ( dependent upon the amplitude).
then how is it possible for it to be dependent upon on amplitude and frequency?

Quality of sound (Timbre) is mainly determined by the harmonic content of a sound and the dynamic characteristics of the sound such as vibrato and the attack-decay envelope of the sound. It is different for sounds produced by different types of instruments. These factors depend on the type of the instrument, material medium used for producing the sound, temperature etc.
