Diameter = 14 cm
side of square= sum of diameter of 3 circles
side=3 x 14=42
Area of square handkerchief = 42 x 42=1764 cm²
Area of one circle=$\mathrm{\pi }\times 7\times 7$ = 22/7 x 7 x 7
=22 x 7=154 cm²
area of 9 circle=9 x 154=1386 cm²
Therefore, Area of remaining portion = 1764-1386= 378 cm²
