Dear Student

Reasons for high concentration of population in Northern Indian plains:
1. Plains are agriculturally very productive due to deposits of alluvial soil.
2. Adequate water supply for agriculture due to the presence of many rivers.
3. The land is very flat which also enables a very dense population.
