Name the trees, animals, birds, insects present in the emergent layer , canopy layer , understorey layer and forest floor

Solution:

EMERGENT LAYER-The topmost layer in a forest is Emergent layer.  Crowns of some trees in the forest emerge above the rest of the canopy. These emergents occupy the emergent layer.  Most of the trees in this layer are broad-leaved, hardwood evergreens such as teak and mahogany and more. Animals that reside in this layer are eagles, monkeys, bats and butterflies.

CANOPY LAYER-Second marked layer is the canopy layer. You can see in the picture that crowns of most of the trees have reached up to this length. As crowns of most of the trees reach this layer, they together form a thick layer. Most of the trees in this layer have smooth eaves and branches such as Rubber trees, Xate trees, Banana trees and more. Animals that are found in this layer are- snakes, toucans and tree frogs.

UNDERSTORY/SHRUB LAYER-It consists of immature trees and small trees that are shorter than the main canopy level of trees such as burckella, clusia, mangrove and more. It also consists of woody vegetation that grows close to the ground.  Jaguars, red-eyed tree frogs and leopards are foudn in this layer of forest.  There is also a huge population of insects here.

FOREST FLOOR-This is the ground layer which consists of decaying leaves, twigs, fallen trees, animal scat, moss and other detritus. This is the layer where recycling process takes place. Giant anteaters are found in this layer. The plants such as wildflowers, ferns, sedges, moss are also found in forest floor.
